I arrived to find two wild swans already there. They didn't leave. We watched the rain together. A quiet lake, far from people. Rain coming and going all day. And an old VW T3 parked right at the water's edge. I spent the day camping alone — cooking by the fire, brewing coffee with my Chemex, and
