Starting from the Aso caldera, the Yamanami Highway passes the Shiroyama Viewpoint and crosses the Kuju Mountains via Makinoto Pass and Chojabaru. After passing through the Yufuin basin, the road climbs the base of Mount Yufu before making its final descent into Beppu. This route offers a continuo
