In this walking tour, we explore the historic Galata neighborhood and the iconic Galata Tower, one of Istanbul's most famous landmarks. Standing approximately 67 meters (220 feet) tall, Galata Tower was built in 1348 by the Genoese and was originally known as the Tower of Christ (Christea Turris).
