China built a highway so high the cars pass through the clouds. The Beipanjiang Bridge sits 565 metres above the canyon floor — deeper than the Empire State Building is tall — and until 2025, it was the highest bridge on Earth. The engineering challenge: the canyon walls were unstable karst limesto
