The fish store isn't stocking the best fish. It's stocking the most profitable ones. The Pearl Gourami outlives most of what replaced it. The Spotted Congo Puffer came back after a war and is one of the most peaceful puffers in the hobby. The Paradise Fish was in tanks before electric light existed.
